How to alienate the other and create new heroes

„I play with everyday objects, and try to inter- rupt and confuse their allocated meaning.“

„I see myself playing the role of a curious art researcher in the process of identifying what shifts when something becomes dislocated or fragmented. Perhaps somewhere inside of me I am trying to appease this longing for the little everyday things by giving them a new role to play on a large scale, thereby breaking the chain between our spontane- ous judgement of a rag for cleaning Venetian blinds and the sanitary function it serves. Through these seemingly minor gestures I explore – as my modest contribution of a citizen feeling critical of current societal real- ities – the generative possibilities of shifting and transforming seemingly given elements and realities.“
